Many SJSU faculty members seek funding from outside the University
for conducting specialized research and public service projects,
underwriting faculty conferences, purchasing equipment, or for other
discretionary activities. The SJSU Foundation provides the business
management infrastructure that supports faculty/sponsor relationships
in two general categories:
- Research grants and contracts funded
by government agencies, corporations, foundations, and other non-profit
organizations
(For more information go to Developing
Your Proposal)
- Activities such as faculty-hosted
seminars, conferences, and workshops; construction and renovation
projects; and student scholarships funded by private donations
and fees. These activities are referred to as self-supported programs.

Projects)
